An exciting project has been completed in Kaikohe, 8 new homes for the Oraruwharo 2A Ahu Whenua Trust and their TPK assisted Papakainga development. In the development there’s a Vista 1, Oasis 3, Denver, Oasis 1, Vista 3, Kemp 2, Oasis 2 and Mission 5.
Owner Ivan Hauraki, approached Advance Build a number of years ago to assist in the housing project. Being an off-site builder, Advance build appealed to Ivan for such a large scale project, having the majority of the building works done in the factory, minimizing disruptions to his site during construction. We designed the homes, lodged the consents with council and built 8 of the new homes in our factory, transported them to site then completed the foundations, decks, verandas and carports as well as service connections on site.
It was just 11 months from signing of the contract, through to completion of all 8 homes on site! The beauty of a prefabricated home, means no weather delays during construction, and efficiencies with trades working simultaneously along the production line.
